From the rising of the sun
unto the going down of the same
the Lord's name is to be praised.
Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace, good will toward men.
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His name JESUS:
for He shall save His people from their sins.
Arise, shine; for thy light is come,
and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
She...wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger;
because there was no room for them in the inn.
The harvest truly is plenteous,
but the labourers are few.
O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good:
for His mercy endureth for ever.
For the Word of God is quick, and powerful,
and sharper than any twoedged sword....
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report;
if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise,
think on these things.
Be ye therefore followers of God,
as dear children.
Be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh
you a reason of the hope that is in you.
I Peter 3:15
The earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.
My grace is sufficient for thee:
for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
2 Corinthians 12:9
Walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing,
being fruitful in every good work,
and increasing in the knowledge of God.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
Now I know in part; but then shall I know
even as I am known.
I Corinthians 13:12
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen.
The crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
and the glory of the LORD shall be revealed.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance.... (Proverbs 15:13)
