...To Man's Questions
Why did Jesus come?
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. (Luke 19:10)
How many people are lost?
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: there is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God....For ALL have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:10-11 & 23)
I try to follow the 10 commandments. Isn’t that enough?
I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain....Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. (Galatians 2:21 and 3:24)
What about all the good things that I’ve done?
But we are all as an unclean thing, and ALL our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.... (Isaiah 64:6a)
How can I get rid of my sins?
In whom we have redemption through His [Jesus Christ’s] blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. (Ephesians 1:7)
What is the penalty if I don’t ask God to forgive me?
For the wages of sin is death.... (Romans 6:23 a)
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (Revelation 21:8)
What is the price for forgiveness and salvation?
IT COST GOD EVERYTHING—For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
IT COST MAN NOTHING—...the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23 b)
How can I receive God’s gift of salvation and eternal life?
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Who can receive God’s gift of salvation and eternal life?
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)
