  • Clyde Schulz, Senior Pastor

    Pastor Clyde is a graduate of both Texas A&M (BS in Agronomy) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity).  He was in the Missionary Journeyman Program from 1976-1978, served as Associate Pastor here at Crossville FBC from 1983-1987, and then as Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church in Somerset, Texas, from 1987-1989.  Thereafter, Clyde and his wife, Carol, served the Lord for 26 years on the mission field of Brazil.  They have 4 grown children.

  • Eric Hinson, Minister of Music

    Brother Eric comes to First Baptist with over 40 years of ministry experience.  Trained at Belmont University and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, he has served churches in Tennessee, Louisiana, and Georgia.  An accomplished conductor, he also sings with the Tennessee Men's Chorale.  Brother Eric loves Crossville and fully embraces the vision of "First Baptist Church"!

  • Susan Strange, Organist/Pianist

    Susan was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, and majored in music at Central High School in Knoxville.  After high school she attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, majoring in Music Education and minoring in Pipe Organ.  Susan has served on the music staff of various churches since the age of 15.

  • Carol Crowley, Secretary

    Carol is our Secretary and began working for First Baptist in April 2015.  She holds an undergraduate degree from Liberty University (B.S., Business Admin.), as well as a graduate degree in Religious Education from Covington Theological Seminary.  Carol and her husband, Tom, worked 30 years in ministry in Ohio.

  • Brother Mark Underwood, Custodian

    Brother Mark joined the staff at First Baptist in 2014 but has been a member for several years.  He has pastored locally and served the community as a licensed electrician.  Bro. Mark will not fail to ask you if you know Jesus!

  • Don Gingerich, Custodian

    Don has been working in the custodial department of First Baptist since August 2017.  He is an experienced and willing worker, who came to us with a background of more than 30 years at Cumberland Medical Center before his retirement.  Don has been a member of FBC for many years.
